A dog named Spuds went viral.
Spuds lives on Third Avenue in Altua.
The owner said
He and his dog were watching TV at home that day.
Suddenly a strange man knocked on the door.
Seeing someone I don't recognize
He ignored it.
But to everyone's surprise, a strange man broke down the door.
Attempted home invasion robbery!
The owner quickly stepped forward to try and subdue the man.
Unexpectedly, Spuds beat him to it.
She tackled the man to the ground!
The owner said
The man initially didn't notice there was a dog in the house.
And it's a pit bull.
He was quite frightened when he saw Spuds pounce on him.
He lay on the ground, too afraid to move.
But Spuds did not let his guard down.
It kept looking around the man.
He was suppressed for a full 20 minutes.
Until the police arrived
The owner said
Actually, he hadn't been raising Spuds for very long.
Spuds is 9 years old.
He was previously abused and abandoned by his former owner.
He adopted her just a few months ago.
But unexpectedly, it saved their whole family.
Spuds is very smart
