Some owners are forced to give their dogs away under duress. Of course, anything can happen in this society, and other people's thoughts and choices may seem incomprehensible to outsiders. When I was in school, I heard someone say that they felt insecure if they had less than 600 yuan in their wallet. I chuckled at the time; I only had 20 yuan and didn't feel insecure. Later, after starting work, I realized that my wallet was often empty. The sense of security 600 yuan provided wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. So, different environments can lead to different choices. Sometimes, it's like that; for some people, there's simply no choice.
After the change in environment, this friend chose to send his husky back to his rural hometown to be raised by his parents.
When I brought it home, I was especially worried that a husky, with its notoriously destructive nature, would cause trouble for my parents in the countryside. Huskies are known for their destructive tendencies, especially when chasing ducks and chickens. If it were to accidentally kill a couple of chickens or ducks for the villagers, not only would I have to pay compensation, but I'd also damage neighborly relations. And in the end, it might even lose its life.
But to this friend's surprise, on the third day after returning home, his father texted, "Your dog is pretty good! It even helps with chores. Look, it dug up several sweet potatoes for me!" Upon seeing this, the friend didn't know whether to laugh or cry! This husky is notorious for destroying things, so why was his father praising it...?
Dogs in the countryside are basically free to roam, playing outside every day until they're exhausted. After coming home, they eat their fill and then lie down, having no interest in wreaking havoc. As for eating ducks or chasing chickens, they probably haven't reached that point yet, so that's out of the question. The husky, who accompanies his father to the fields every day, expends all its energy there.
It seems the husky has won over its father's heart. I wonder if, once it starts eating chicken, the father will still be able to praise the husky for being sensible and hardworking when questioned by the neighbors. I just hope the husky can give up its craving for chickens and ducks, and stay home or go out for a stroll whenever it wants, as long as it doesn't end up covered in injuries or chicken feathers.
I still need to find some time to talk to my father about the habits of huskies. If things continue like this, my father will be dumbfounded when the husky actually starts playing PUBG!
