Baby hamsters typically open their eyes around twelve days after birth; opening both eyes or just one eye is normal. Around 25 days old, baby hamsters can be weaned and begin eating oats, millet, vegetables, and other similar foods. After one and a half months, baby hamsters need to be separated from their mothers, and after two months, they should be kept in a single cage.

About a week after birth, baby hamsters begin to grow fur. About five days later, they will open their eyes. Some hamsters can open both eyes completely, while others only partially open them; both are normal.
Baby hamsters can be weaned around 25 days after birth and can eat independently. Newly weaned hamsters can eat oatmeal mixed with millet in its husk, as well as some vegetables such as cabbage, bok choy, and carrots. Make sure to wash the food thoroughly and dry it completely before feeding.
Before they are 18 months old, hamsters must be separated from their mothers and kept in separate cages. Otherwise, the baby hamsters are easily attacked and may even be bitten to death by their mothers. Hamsters are mature at 2 months old, so at this time, they should be kept one per cage and not mixed with other hamsters.
Hamsters aged 2-3 months are already able to eat a variety of foods, including hamster pellets, grains, vegetables, fruits, seeds, etc. During their care, it's important to maintain a balanced diet; generally, hamster pellets should be their staple food, supplemented with appropriate amounts of vegetables and fruits.
