The girl, who loves animals, didn't leave. Instead, she slowly approached, trying to gain its trust. Sure enough, after spending some time with it, the dog gradually became more familiar and even started playing with her! Because the dog had a leash, the girl thought it might be lost, so she took a picture and posted it in the neighborhood's residents' group chat, asking if anyone had lost a dog. However, a whole day passed without any response! Normally, if an owner lost their dog, they would be extremely anxious and try everything to find it. But since no one had come forward for so long, the girl had a bad feeling.
There was nothing else to do; since no one came looking for it, the woman had no choice but to feed it. It was a hot day, and there was no food in the neighborhood. If it had been abandoned, it must have been starving for a long time! After the dog finished eating, the woman and her husband went home. The next day, her husband encountered the dog again when he went downstairs and played with it for a while. In the afternoon, he brought the dog food. He explained that it was pouring rain outside, and the dog had nowhere to hide from the rain; it would get sick if it got wet, so he brought it home. The two of them gave the dog a hot bath and dried its fur—probably its first bath since becoming a stray! After the bath, they even tied its hair in a little ponytail.
That day, the dog slept soundly at home. Everyone else was up in the morning, but it was still asleep. It was exhausted from its time as a stray and had never slept so peacefully before! After waking up, the little guy clearly mistook the couple for its owners and started playing mischievously! Seeing how adorable it was, the woman couldn't bear to return it to its apartment building and decided to adopt it, naming it Qiuqiu. When she had time, she took it to the vet for a checkup. Thankfully, everything was fine, and after getting its vaccinations, it went home!
In the two months since we adopted it, it has experienced illness and other challenges, but the dog has been incredibly strong and pulled through.
