For many stray dogs, it's truly unpredictable whether an accident or the future will come first. Danger lurks everywhere in society; one wrong step and they could find themselves in perilous situations, even losing their lives! So, if you have the ability to help them, even just feeding them a meal is a good thing.
On September 13th in Jingmen, Hubei Province, a woman who owned a shop often saw a stray dog outside her store. One day, while she was in her shop, she suddenly heard the dog barking outside. Going out to investigate, she discovered the stray dog had been hit by a car! It twitched a couple of times and then stopped moving, dying instantly. The driver of the car that hit it hadn't stopped. To prevent the dog from being run over again, the woman moved it to the side of the road.
The woman noticed the stray dog's belly was huge and moving! She immediately realized the dog was pregnant! Seeing the dog was dying, and knowing the puppies would likely die in the womb, the woman didn't hesitate. She immediately took the dog to the backyard and performed a C-section herself! The scene was truly heartbreaking. Thankfully, all six puppies were successfully rescued, but the mother dog passed away. Because the puppies were premature, they were difficult to care for; two died due to their weak constitution. The remaining four puppies have been found foster mothers, and hopefully, they will survive.
