Sometimes fate is so mysterious; it seems to guide your decisions in the dark.
Earlier, Georgina Milhet, who lives in Miami, USA, and her nephew went horseback riding in the countryside. On this day, they inexplicably decided not to take their usual route, but instead chose a secluded and unfamiliar path.
As the road narrowed and the nearby farmhouses disappeared from sight, they discovered a chicken coop behind a large rock by the roadside, with a white animal trapped inside.
When Georgina rode closer, she discovered it was actually a dog, or more precisely, a very weak white husky. As soon as it saw someone approaching, it immediately stuck its mouth out of its cage, pleading for Georgina's help!
Georgina immediately called to her nephew, "Quick, bring the water!" Then she jumped off her horse, went to the dog, and saw it wagging its tail and drinking the entire bottle of water with its tongue.
Seeing that the dog was friendly, Milhet tried to let it out of its cage to let it stretch its muscles, but what she saw stunned her – the dog couldn't walk at all!
At first, Georgina thought it was injured, but when they examined it closely, they found that its limbs were twisted and deformed, as if they were broken... Due to prolonged friction, its abdomen was bleeding from being rubbed raw...
“I’ve never seen a dog like this before. We guess it’s never left that cage in its entire life…” Milhet said.
Finally, they decided to put the husky on horseback and carry it home. Once home, they bathed the dog, trimmed its fur, and named it Lucky. After everything was settled, they discovered Lucky was covered in wounds, which they guessed were caused by its struggles while trying to escape from its cage.
Although the wounds must have been very painful for it, it kept wagging its tail, knowing that the old days were gone forever. The next day, he took Lucky to the vet for a checkup. The vet estimated its age to be between two and three years old, but due to severe malnutrition, its size was only that of a six-month-old puppy.
However, that wasn't the worst of it. X-rays showed that due to being confined in a cage for a long time, its limbs were severely deformed, preventing it from taking more than eight steps at a time...
Milt hopes to have its legs repaired as soon as possible, but orthopedic specialists advise against surgery.
For a dog, the recovery process after this surgery is extremely painful and carries significant risks; it may very well be unable to move for the rest of its life.
Fortunately, Lucky met the criteria for a prosthesis, and the hospital was able to make one custom-made for him. With the help of the prosthesis, he will be able to run and play freely in the future.
Now, Lucky has been officially adopted by Milt. It is very affectionate and wants its owner to kiss and hug it every day, thoroughly enjoying the warmth of family.
Milt said that when it lay on its first bed, it was so excited that it trembled, and it had to carry its little bed with it wherever it went.
"It's the sweetest dog in the world. It loves to kiss me, wants to be with me all the time, and always has a big smile on its face. Seeing it makes me feel full of positive energy."
In a few days, Lucky's prosthetic leg will be finished. I believe this optimistic husky will live a better life. Go Lucky!
