According to South Korean media reports, 179 people tragically lost their lives in the Jeju Air plane crash, and the stories behind many of the victims are deeply moving.

According to industry insiders, the Jeju Air flight 7C2216 involved in the accident was a charter flight organized by a small or medium-sized travel agency. It was a 5-day, 3-night tour package to Bangkok, Thailand. Because of this, many of the victims were families, making the tragedy all the more poignant.

The oldest passenger was Mr. A, 80 years old, who was on his way back from a trip with his family when the accident occurred. The trip was originally intended to celebrate his 80th birthday, but the joyous journey ended in tragedy. All nine members of Mr. A's family perished.

In Mr. A's country cottage in Yeonggwang County, Jeollanam-do, only a lonely little dog now guards the home. The dog is reportedly gazing sadly at the road outside, seemingly waiting for its family to return.

One villager said, "It (the puppy) wasn't leashed; it just let itself roam freely. If I let it come to my house to play, it would always stop halfway there and then go home by itself."

This scene not only evokes regret for the lost life, but also makes the silently waiting pet another symbol in the tragedy, stirring up more remembrance and sorrow for the deceased.
