The first time the young woman saw the cat, it was curled up in a small ball, lying silently under a car. It was June in Guangdong, and the outside temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius. The young woman naively thought that the little guy was just cooling off.

Now, it has been more than two years since the young lady took Shaomai home. Its leg injury has not fully healed, but it has become as fat as a gas cylinder. Now, it does nothing but eat and sleep, and has a hardworking companion to help lick its fur. It is living a very happy life.

Seeing this cat's story reminded me of a cat named "Chu Ba". When a kind person found it, most of the skin on Chu Ba's back had been peeled off and it was left on the roadside like trash.
After seeing the photo of the cat on the eighth day of the lunar month in a pet group, a young woman took the cat home without hesitation and even took it to the vet for a check-up.
The kitten's injuries were far more severe than they appeared. In addition to the wounds on its back, its tail was broken off and its toes were crushed.

Now, almost half a year has passed since Chu Ba was rescued, and the little guy's wounds are slowly healing, and they have become much smaller than they were at the beginning! We look forward to Chu Ba's speedy recovery, so that he can go back to being the energetic kitten that can run and jump.
Shaomai and Chuba, though two different kittens, share similar experiences. Their plight reminds me of a popular saying recently: "Being loved can truly give birth to new flesh and blood!" It was love that allowed them to grow new flesh and blood and be reborn!
