Pomeranian rummaging through the trash
A young woman was walking her Golden Retriever when she spotted a dog rummaging through a trash bag on the roadside. Sadly, after searching for a long time, it couldn't find anything to eat.
As the young woman got a little closer to the dog, a strong, unpleasant odor wafted over her. She then realized the furry friend was actually a Pomeranian. Even with its filthy fur, it was still a pretty little dog. How could such a beautiful dog have ended up like this?

The veterinarian's examination results were heartbreaking. The Pomeranian was covered in wounds, the most serious of which was a long, shocking wound on its rear end that had become infected and suppurated.
The little guy's mouth was crooked, with one tooth sticking out and most of the other teeth missing. Fortunately, apart from severe injuries and malnutrition, the dog did not have any other diseases.
The veterinarian told the young woman a fact that was hard for her to accept: the injuries on her pet did not seem to be caused by an accident; the Pomeranian had most likely been abused.
Whether the dog was abandoned by its former owner after being harmed, or whether the little guy encountered someone with ill intentions while wandering the streets, no one except the dog knows.
Physical injuries can heal slowly, but the emotional wounds linger like a nightmare in a dog's heart, never truly disappearing.
When faced with a veterinarian applying medicine, the pet always glares angrily and barks incessantly. Having endured too many beatings, it doesn't understand that the person in front of it is actually there to help it; it only subconsciously believes that anyone who approaches it is malicious.
While taking care of the dog, the young woman also discovered that the pet seemed to be extremely afraid of human shoes. Even without kicking or shoving, if the shoes were placed in front of the little guy, it would attack and desperately tear at them.
This shows that the little guy had been kicked and beaten before, and had developed a deep fear of shoes. How helpless it must have felt when it was kicked again and again, unable to do anything but silently endure it.

It turns out that love really can melt a cold heart, and that being loved feels so wonderful.
