Recently, a woman spent 18,888 yuan to buy a puppy, but discovered that the puppy's eyes had been lined with eyeliner and its ears had been cut with scars. The shop owner admitted that the makeup was done to improve the photo shoot effect, and the ears were cut because "Mickey Mouse ears" are currently in fashion.
The woman posted online that she spent 18,888 yuan to buy a poodle puppy from a kennel with 5 million followers. However, after receiving the puppy, she found that eyeliner had been drawn around its eyes and that its ears had scars left from scabbing. "The seller did not inform me of these details at all."
The woman emphasized that if she had known the puppy's ears had been cropped, she definitely wouldn't have bought it; it was too cruel. "I noticed that the so-called eyeliner around its eyes had smudged, and it could actually be wiped off! Then I quickly touched its ears, and it turned out that they had been cropped, hence the small size, and they were covered in hard scabs."
The dog's eyeliner smudged when wiped off.
The woman also questioned whether the shop deliberately concealed information to inflate prices and mislead consumers.
In response to the woman's questions, the shop owner admitted that the dog's makeup was to enhance the photo shoot, and the ears were cropped simply because "Mickey Mouse ears" are currently a trend. The customer didn't ask if the ears had been cropped, so they didn't inform her beforehand. "That's how it is when selling dogs," the owner said.
The woman wants the store to refund her money and issue a public apology, but according to the store's purchase policy, the first clause states that "buyers may not return or exchange items for any reason." Currently, the two parties are still negotiating.
