Although more and more people are keeping dogs these days, they are also paying more and more attention to dog breeds. For example, people are quite interested in Huskies, Golden Retrievers, and Labrador Retrievers; but when it comes to Chinese Rural Dogs, I think that apart from the fact that they are used to being kept as guard dogs in rural areas, very few people keep them as pets.

Chinese rural dogs are also quite common in rural areas. Usually, their role is to guard the house and yard. Even if they have puppies, the owners will not keep too many. They will give one to a relative or a friend. Although this is a common practice, it is a bit cruel to the mother dog.

For example, this mixed-breed dog that gave birth to four puppies, three of them were adopted by other people, leaving only this one puppy by its side.

When the mother dog realized her puppies weren't coming back, she protected the remaining one with all her might, refusing to let anyone near. The mother dog's behavior when her owner tried to call the puppy over to play truly showed that she had lost all hope in her owner.

When the puppy came running over to its owner at her call, the mother dog was anxious and immediately intercepted it halfway, swatting it back with her paw to prevent it from having any contact with its owner, because she knew that if they were separated, it would be for life!

The mother dog stopped looking at her owner, focusing solely on protecting her puppies. This innate maternal love is present even in animals. A dog would do anything to protect its young.

Although she no longer trusted her owner, the mother dog didn't attack but instead chose to protect her puppies. I've only ever seen this kind of understanding in mixed-breed dogs.
