Finn, a German Shepherd, is a police dog living in the UK, and her partner is PC Wardell. From 2010 to 2016, Finn accompanied Wardell on patrol, and together they arrested more than 200 suspects.

One day in 2016, while on duty, they happened to encounter a robber robbing a taxi, and they immediately gave chase. Finn bit the suspect's leg, trying to subdue him. The suspect then pulled out a 25-centimeter-long serrated hunting knife and stabbed Finn viciously. But even with blood splattering everywhere, Finn refused to let go…

When backup police arrived at the scene, Finn had cuts to his head and Wardell's arm.

Finn required 30 stitches to its abdomen afterward, but thankfully it survived. Its partner, Wardell, was terribly worried: "The feeling of being separated from my canine companion is like a tear in my heart. I begged the vet to save it, because it has saved me so many times..."

Finn is now retired and spending his later years peacefully at the Wardell home…

Salute to our heroic police dogs! May they be safe and sound!
