A shelter in Texas recently took in seven abandoned dogs, including an elderly Labrador named Samson. Samson was in terrible condition, suffering from skin disease on his ears and limbs, infested with fleas, and listless and dejected.
Before taking it for treatment, the staff, as is customary, scanned its microchip, which revealed information from ten years ago...
On a whim, the staff contacted its owner from ten years ago and asked if he still remembered Samson.
The owner was shocked. He had lost his beloved dog ten years ago and had searched diligently ever since, but unfortunately, he hadn't been able to find him for several years. However, he and his family had never forgotten Samson and had always hoped to be reunited with him...
I never thought he would actually live to see this day!
The owner immediately drove to the shelter. After ten years apart, he didn't expect the dog to remember him, but seeing Samson's current state broke his heart...
He walked up to Samson, looked gently into its eyes, and said, "Samson, it's me. Do you remember me?"
Samson, who had been feeling down, seemed to recognize his former owner. He approached his owner, sniffed his hand, and looked very aggrieved.
