When you think of orange cats, you probably picture them as chubby,憨厚 (honest and simple) and adorable. But today, I want to introduce you to a pitiful, lifeless stray orange cat. It doesn't have that憨厚 and adorable look at all; instead, it always has a melancholy face that seems to say it has no will to live.

This cat, named Benben, is a stray orange tabby abandoned by humans. No one knows what it has been through. But from the moment it arrived at the animal rescue center, it seemed utterly despondent. A veterinarian examined it and found numerous injuries, including a broken leg and torn ears. The veterinarian and rescuers suspected that Benben had been attacked by other animals or humans, otherwise it wouldn't be in such a state.

Every day at the rescue center, Benben was very depressed. It wouldn't approach the staff, and wouldn't even acknowledge the other cats, as if living in its own world. Benben had a very low profile; if no one knew it existed, no one would remember there was a cat in the cage. It spent its days lying motionless in its cage.

Benben stayed at the rescue center for an unknown amount of time. Many people came to adopt cats every day, but no one was willing to take it home. It always seemed unhappy and unapproachable. And so, all its companions were adopted, while it remained steadfastly in its cage.

For a long time, no one adopted Benben, and coupled with its very low will to live, it ate and drank very little each day. The staff saw how much it was suffering and were preparing to give up on it. Perhaps Benben realized that its life was coming to an end, because it became even more depressed, refusing to eat or drink, and barely moving at all.

This cat was truly heartbreaking. The staff wanted to give it more love and care, but Benben kept its distance. Just when everyone was at a loss, a kind young lady came to the rescue station and immediately spotted Benben curled up in its cage.

She walked over to Benben and touched its stiff body with her hand. Benben turned to look at the young woman and revealed a long-lost smile. Seeing how much pain and suffering it was in, the young woman decided to take it home, take good care of it, and try to change it.

When Benben was brought to its new home, it changed a lot. It became curious about everything in the house, sniffing around and trying to touch things. Benben's behavior made the young lady cherish it even more. Actually, Benben didn't want to survive; it just wanted a warm home, not a cage.

During his time living with his older sister, Benben learned to play with toys and act cute and affectionate. Benben would often circle around his sister and rub his head against her face. These repeated close interactions made Benben increasingly confident. When his sister took him for a walk, he would raise his head, gaze at the sky, and appreciate the beauty of the world.

Now, Benben has gotten used to life in his new home and officially considers himself a member of the family. He has become lively and active at home and has regained his vitality.

Cats do have feelings; they crave love and care from humans. When they receive love, they become incredibly adorable. You don't have to love them, but please don't hurt them. Once you love them, love them deeply and never abandon them.
