A few days ago, a message circulated in a rescue group in Shapingba District, Chongqing, saying that someone had found a mixed-breed dog whose limbs had been severed by someone and was lying on a cement slab exposed to the sun, barely alive. Upon seeing the distress call, volunteers from the rescue group rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the injuries and the fact that the dog had been left on the sun-baked cement slab for several hours, with the floor temperature exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, the dog eventually died. Its death was gruesome and heartbreaking to witness. The volunteers stated that the dog's limbs were cleanly severed, clearly not an accident, but rather intentionally cut off.
Who could be so cruel as to commit this horrific act of animal cruelty? Volunteers reviewed CCTV footage from shops near the scene and discovered that around 8:00 AM that morning, the dog's hind legs were run over by a passing white car. It could only struggle to get up using its two front legs, but was unable to. A passing woman then moved the dog from the road to the vicinity of the crime scene. However, because the area where it was moved was a blind spot for the CCTV cameras, it wasn't captured on camera who severed the dog's limbs, so the perpetrator hasn't been identified yet. Volunteers have reported the incident to the police, who are now investigating.
Seeing this, many dog lovers would surely feel heartbroken and angry, heartbroken that an innocent dog was treated so cruelly, and furious at the perpetrator who brutally tortured and killed the dog. Volunteers immediately issued a 5,000 yuan reward notice, hoping to find the culprit and severely punish the animal abuser. In addition, a media personality named "Mr. Dog" also posted on a public platform supporting the reward, strongly condemning the animal abuser. The author stated that in addition to the 5,000 yuan reward notice, he would personally add another 5,000 yuan, making a total reward of 10,000 yuan for finding the animal abuser.
