A one-year-old Border Collie suffered multiple stab wounds, including a 4-centimeter-long cut on its jaw and exposed teeth due to a slashed mouth. On the afternoon of the 22nd, Ms. Chen, a volunteer at the Guiyang Little Stray Animal Shelter, received a request for help from a citizen who reported finding a Border Collie that had been deliberately stabbed near the roundabout in the Economic Development Zone. The abuser's methods were extremely cruel, and no one could bear to look at them. Upon learning of this, Ms. Chen immediately posted a message about the dog's abuse on the Guiyang Little Stray Animal Shelter website, appealing to animal lovers to help find and rescue the injured dog.
After a thorough search, around 8 PM, the injured puppy was finally found in the stairwell of Unit 4, Building 3 in a residential complex. In the dark stairwell, the puppy was curled up in pain, its body trembling; its face was no longer visible. Kind-hearted individuals Ms. Luo and Mr. Yang used their phone flashlights to examine the wounds and discovered that the puppy had been slashed on the head, and the wound was infected. Upon closer inspection, they found multiple wounds on the puppy's body, blood soaking through its fur. The puppy looked at Ms. Luo with pleading eyes, very docile.

After discovering that the puppy was unable to stand, Ms. Luo and Mr. Yang quickly used a woven bag from their car to gently place the puppy on it, preventing any contact with its wounds. After providing basic first aid, Mr. Yang rode his motorcycle with Ms. Luo gently carrying the puppy from behind, and at 9 p.m., they took the injured dog to a pet hospital on Fushui South Road in Guiyang City for treatment.

That evening, the veterinarian immediately took X-rays and carefully examined the wounds. No internal injuries were found initially, but due to the severe laceration of the jaw wound, the dog was unable to eat and could only receive intravenous nutrition to restore its strength. At noon on the 23rd, veterinarians Wang and Hou shaved the dog's fur in preparation for further examination. Unexpectedly, what was revealed after the shaving was even more shocking: in addition to the jaw wound, the dog's back and legs were covered in knife wounds, with open wounds everywhere.
Afterwards, Ms. Luo posted a video of the dog's injuries in the WeChat group of Guiyang Little Stray Animal Shelter. In addition to feeling sorry for the dog and condemning the abuser, many kind-hearted people took the initiative to raise money for the dog's treatment.

In just two days, numerous kind-hearted people donated over 20,000 yuan for the injured dog's medical treatment. On the afternoon of the 24th, the injured dog underwent surgery at the veterinary hospital, while Ms. Chen and two other dog lovers waited outside. "We don't know what happened to the dog? It hasn't barked since it was injured." The silence of the dog pained them even more. "Remember the kindness of our benefactors," Ms. Chen temporarily named the injured dog, hoping to use this loving name to warm the heart of the wounded puppy.

At 3 PM on February 24th, the dog "Yi'en" underwent its first suture in the operating room.
