Someone who infiltrated a cat abuse group revealed that they witnessed appalling videos while observing the abuse. There are many methods of cat abuse, one of which is starvation. The kittens that starve to death seem unaware that they are being intentionally killed; when people touch them, they still rub their heads against their hands. Moreover, very few of the abused kittens show hatred in their eyes.

Recently, the news of a third-year female student at the Communication University of China locking a stray cat on her balcony and letting it starve to death has attracted considerable attention. The person who posted the story also mentioned the aforementioned statement.

Therefore, some people remind cat lovers that while it's okay to feed stray cats, it's best to avoid getting too close to them, preserving their wariness and preventing them from becoming overly affectionate. For stray cats, being too close to humans isn't necessarily a good thing, because you can't be sure whether the next person a kitten that trusts too much will be a good or bad person.

A female netizen in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, who loves cats, was resting on the steps of a park when she noticed a stray cat in the distance. Out of habit, she couldn't help but call out "kitty" a few times.

Unexpectedly, upon hearing the human's call, the kitten ran straight towards it without any hesitation. The cat's gait looked very strange, limping, clearly indicating that it was injured.

When the cat ran up to the netizen, the netizen was stunned because the cat's left front leg seemed to be broken, and its paw was bent at a 90-degree angle, dangling limply like a rag.

With each step the cat took, its broken leg scraped against the ground; you can imagine how painful that must have been. Even so, the kitten dragged its crippled leg and stumbled towards the netizen, nuzzling her hand affectionately.

A kind-hearted netizen took the cat to the hospital for examination and treatment. Unfortunately, the nerves in the cat's left front leg were completely necrotic, and the leg could not be saved. Amputation was the only option.

The veterinarian analyzed that a cat's leg must have been broken to such an extent by a very strong external force. While car accidents and falls typically cause fractures and internal bleeding, the cat only had a leg injury without any other external injuries, leading the veterinarian to speculate that the cat's leg was likely broken by someone.

Cats are often described as unfriendly animals, but this isn't true for every cat. An important factor to consider is the cat's early socialization and human interaction. Kittens that have had early contact with humans are more likely to develop trust and affection for people. This is because they learn to associate humans with positive experiences, such as playing and cuddling. Conversely, cats with limited human interaction may be more easily startled and frightened.

Another factor influencing a cat's level of trust in humans is its personality and temperament. Like humans, cats also possess personality traits and temperaments that can affect their behavior. Some cats are naturally more outgoing and affectionate, while others are more reserved. A cat's personality can also be shaped by its breed; some breeds are more sociable than others.

Past experiences and traumas can significantly impact a cat's level of trust in humans. Cats that have been abused or harmed may fear humans, and it can take them a long time to relearn to trust. On the other hand, cats that have had positive interactions with humans are more likely to be loving and trusting, and may retain their affection for humans even if they are subsequently harmed.

Many stray cats become friendly towards humans, perhaps out of necessity, hoping to receive help from the person in front of them. However, cats clearly lack the ability to discern whether the person in front of them is a cat lover, a cat skeptic, or a cat abuser.

It's important to reiterate that properly rescuing stray cats is not as simple as just feeding them! You can feed any stray cat, but you must avoid feeding them in crowded areas to prevent them from gathering. The best approach is to spay/neuter them and find them responsible homes that will truly care for them and provide them with genuine shelter.
