The word "abandonment" seems so simple, but only those who have experienced it truly understand how painful it is to be left behind. It not only instills despair but also leaves a lasting shadow, eroding self-confidence and even the courage to trust others.

Let's take a look at this short story and feel the dog's despair. This passerby makes a living by collecting recyclables. One day, as he was passing by an abandoned house, he saw a dog's head buried in the mud from afar. At first, he thought it was a toy because its eyes were closed, and it wasn't barking or making a sound; it didn't seem real at all. What dog wouldn't react at all to such a predicament?

But when passersby got closer, they realized it was indeed a dog, and it was still alive. So, with considerable effort, the passersby dug it out, brushed some dust off its body, and fed it some food, but it didn't eat. Then, when no one was looking, it sneaked away.

Passersby speculated that the dog might have belonged to the original family whose house was demolished, but the family moved away without taking it with them. It might have been waiting for its owner in the same place. Otherwise, given the dog's capabilities, it would have been impossible for it not to know about such a large-scale demolition and not to run away. There is only one explanation: it simply did not want to leave.

It's heartbreaking to see this dog. Its eyes have lost their usual sparkle; perhaps in a way, it's already dead. There's no greater sorrow than a broken heart. Being abandoned by its owner must be incredibly painful; life probably holds no meaning for it anymore.

Cats and dogs are actually very sensitive creatures; they can sense their owners' emotions. Pets generally don't discriminate based on whether their owners are rich or poor, so pet owners should treat their pets well and never abandon them, causing them emotional trauma.

If you regularly shave or style your pets' fur, or have them spayed or neutered, you should also pay attention to their emotional state. Some pets may feel inferior because they are different from other pets, and over time, this can lead to depression. Therefore, pet owners should be mindful of their pets' mental well-being and ensure that their physical and mental health are equally important.
